This would be the foundation for the creation of Smart Home Vision Realty offering tailored real estate solutions and promote eco living both to vendors to encourage that point of difference in marketing and for purchasers seeing the value in sustainable living without compromising on modern comforts and lifestyle.

Sylvie was born in Orleans, France (located in the Loire Valley) and travelled extensively during her youth including South Africa and Australia in the 60’s and 70’s as well as studying in France and at the University of Barcelona before undertaking her professional career in France then returning to Australia in 1983. In that time, she gained valuable skills including speaking several languages and experiencing diverse cultures.

She lived in the Barossa Valley for 15 years before moving to Semaphore, then the Adelaide Hills and now calling the Southern Fleurieu Peninsula home since 2009.

Early in her career, she worked for the US corporation AT&T in France supporting a team of engineers.

Once in Australia, she married and spent a few years concentrating on family and raising two sons, Anthony and Christopher. In 1994, she went back studying to become an accountant and worked in aged care for seven years as Finance Officer for the Tanunda Lutheran Home in the Barossa Valley.

She continued her career in accounting working for a large landscape company in Largs North and then took on the position of Executive Officer for the Wine Industry Suppliers Australia Inc (WISA), an industry body representing suppliers to the wine industry at a national and international level; she continued to grow the membership, attend national and overseas tradeshows as well as organise the first WISA Awards Dinner that would bring the industry together under one roof; Grape Growers, Winemakers and Suppliers. This yearly event is still held most years.
At that time, she went back studying part-time at REISA for her Real Estate Property Services Diploma and joined in 2008 the team at Raine & Horne in Strathalbyn gaining valuable experience in real estate property services providing services to clients in the Adelaide Hills.
Unfortunately, the GFC hit that year and the real estate market suffered a set-back which encouraged Sylvie to call on her extensive skills and take on a senior accounting role working as Finance Manager with Regional Development Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu & Kangaroo Island where she was based in Victor Harbor and worked for the organization for over three years.
Passionate about making a difference in service and advocating energy efficient sustainable residential living and the lifestyle it can offer, she decided in 2013 to start her own independent real estate agency, Smart Home Vision Realty, based on the Southern Fleurieu providing Real Estate Services with an Eco emphasis, both in Sales and Property Management. We now also have an office in Norwood, Adelaide.

Sylvie has an impressive background in finance, management, sales and marketing through her career, and she brings that wealth of experience to the business with a strong focus on providing good, friendly and professional customer service and building long term rapport with clients.
Sylvie was excited to see the team grow in 2021-2022 and welcome Rodrigo Ramirez and Jimmy Hoang in the Sales Team based in Adelaide as well as George Phillipis in Finance and Kanchana Warnakulasooriaya in Administration.
In July 2021, Christopher joined the family business as Property Manager supporting our Senior Property Manager, Dianne Looyestyn and he is soon to take on a stronger role in Sales and Management in view of building the future towards new communication tools and systems that will provide innovation and excellence in our services for the benefit of our clients.
Sylvie’s next focus will be aimed at increasing her community involvements and support in sport and visual art. As well, reinstating regular information events on sustainability and lifestyle to be held on the Fleurieu and in Adelaide in partnership with other small business for the benefit of community members looking for solutions to improve their home and their overall wellbeing.
Sylvie works on the principle that every day is an opportunity to make a difference and it is a privilege to be able to make that difference for the benefit of our clients.
